The objectives of Program Manager

To lead proposal development and major projects in consulting services, with responsibilities spanning project management, client relations, and substantive contributions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead prospect management to generate new projects, including proposal development and financial calculation tailored to client needs.
  • Manage large-scale narrative projects by coordinating with multiple stakeholders, navigating differing priorities, ensuring both financial and non-financial goals are met, maintaining strong client relationships, resolving complex issues through negotiation, and working with global clients.
  • Strengthen relationships with clients and partners beyond conventional methods; foster collaboration; stay actively involved in key meetings; and consistently provide relevant, strategic input.
  • Contribute to the writing of strategies and reports
  • Develop the content and design the visuals for presentations, and deliver it
  • Handle the technical and logistical aspects of workshop or training facilitation
  • Conduct secondary research
  • Desk research to synthesize secondary data about the issue or the audience and to curate evidence in behavioral science or best practices from social change communication
  • Make sense of the analytics of digital media for monitoring and evaluation.
  • Manage work collaboration with our creative or media partners:
  • Give input to the Principal Consultant in all aspects of the business.
  • Others tasks that supports the entire project ecosystem.

Expected qualities and requirements

Since communication in C4C always combines rigor and creativity, we expect the same qualities from our Project Manager. We know that it’s rare to expect someone who is equally strong in both; but to thrive in C4C, everyone must possess strong analytical and writing skills.
The expected qualities and requirements are
  • Highly-skilled in written communications in both English and Indonesian
  • Read in advanced English (for example, articles in scientific journals, or The Economist, The New Yorker, The New York Review of Books, The Atlantic) and comprehend the content accurately
  • Write well in both English and Indonesian: synthesize theses or main points, arrange outlines, construct paragraphs and pen strong sentences (C4C has specific styles to write reports, presentations, proposals, even emails)
  • A confident presenter, negotiator, and workshop facilitator with a strong ability to read the room and make quick decisions based on experimentation and sound judgment.
  • Highly-skilled in analytical thinking, in other words apply the fundamentals of scientific method in day-to-day situations: ask good questions, observe, identify patterns, generate hypotheses and their counterfactuals, methods to test the hypotheses, draw interim conclusions
  • Sufficient numeric reasoning skills to decipher the meaning behind numbers, weigh probability, and make decisions or predictions; those who understand statistics for social science will have advantage
  • Self-disciplined: 100% accountable remote workers who are worthy to have 100% autonomy in how they deliver their job: break down their work into progressive milestones or checkpoints, resolve loose ends and lack of clarity, meet deadlines, anticipate obstructions to plans.
  • Appreciation toward creativity and aesthetics in both art and pop culture we don’t seek people who produce them, but who find joy in seeing or experiencing them and recognize their power in communication
  • Calm and confident communicators
  • Speak clearly and intelligently about complex ideas and strategies

Work conditions

  • We operate in full remote mode from Day 1
  • We minimize meetings by maximize written communications in asynchronous context
  • We provide allowance to use workspace for people who need them
  • We open our financial data to everyone in the team, and this includes each other’s salary
  • Our structure is flat with almost no hierarchy, as our company is small; this may make us unsuitable for those who seek to climb up the corporate ladder.

Remuneration and other benefits

  • The monthly salary for Project Manager ranges from Rp 11.500.000 to Rp 16.000,000. All numbers are after-tax (but you have to pay your part for BPJS Ketenagakerjaan). BPJS Kesehatan included.
  • We provide good health insurance max 25% above monthly salary per-year, in-patient and out-patient that in most cases extend to family members.
  • You have a training allowance with the freedom to choose the programs you want to enroll in.
  • There are no limitations on annual leaves. We will treat C4C team members as adults who can take care of themselves and not let their teammates down.
  • There is a track to become equity-partners for employees who consistently perform, deliver business results, and stick around with us after certain years.
