What will you learn?

In four half-day sessions (9.00 – 12.00 WIB) with individual practices session (12.00-14.00 WIB), you will learn:

Day 1 (5 August 2020)
Preparing an impactful presentation with audience analysis
By the end of this session, each participant will be able to:

  1. Differentiate between situations that call for a presentation and a report
  2. Conduct audience analysis to prepare for a presentation
  3. Develop the thesis of your presentation

Day 2 (6 August 2020)
Using story structure for presentation 1: create the opening
By the end of this session, each participant will be able to:

  1. Explain why structuring a presentation like a story makes it more effective
  2. Apply the story structure into their presentation framework
  3. Develop presentation content for the first act: opening

Day 3 (11 August 2020)
Using story structure for presentation 2: build your persuasion and close it high
By the end of this session, each participant will be able to:

  1. Develop presentation content for the second act: persuasion
  2. Develop presentation content for the third act: conclusion and call-to-action

Day 4 (12 August 2020)
Basic design principle for presentation
By the end of this session, each participant will be able to:

  1. Differentiate between designing and decorating a presentation
  2. Demonstrate the use of basic design principles in their presentation slides
  3. Pick the right photo to augment their presentation
  4. Identify the appropriate graph/diagram for the evidence/data

Some of the concepts or tools you will learn about:

  • Three-act story structure
  • And-but-therefore opening structure
  • Pyramid of persuasion
  • CRAP design principle

And of course, a lot of practices! You will remake your previous or upcoming presentation. At the end you will have a new presentation ready for your next talks or pitching.
